According to you guys, this is the place to do a lot of things, including "agree or disagree with our ratings". Maybe you should add this information: "But if you question our motives, however, be prepared that our European editor might ask you to "stop being ridiculous", and then dismiss you with rude words in Spanish.
I look forward to hearing CA reactions.
FYI: What Suckling wrote was "Hasta luego cabrón", and you can take it from a Spanish teacher that those words are NOT nice.

If you came into MY house and kicked me in the nuts because I wrote something you didn't agree with I'd call you a helluva lot worse than that.
Get over it. I applaud Mr. Suckling for not taking any crap from anyone regarding his cigar ratings. I don't always agree with them, in fact, I rarely do when it comes to NC's, but I'd never come here to openly assult him over them. If it meant so much to me I'd pen the guy a letter.
You *can* disagree, but when you call the man a joke, assail his character, and question his integrity by claiming he's selling ratings, well, you get what you deserve.

You are right Larry, it is just a coincidence that every big company managed to get something into the top 25. What I don't understand is how the VSG Torpedo gets a 93 rating, but yet there are cigars rated lower than it in the top 25 and it isn't. Oh and don't forget that cigars w/ lower ratings are ranked higher, makes tons of sense.

If anyone barged in, it was Suckling. This place is more the house of the regulars than of some CA employee.

CA could pull the plug on these forums anytime they want - it is their house. There is a huge difference between debating the T25 list and attacking the integrity of those who created it, which is what was done in the original post.

Everyone is welcome to their opinion of the Top 25, but questioning the integrity of the magazine is another thing, which I will stand up for to the end.
By the way, if you don't like it, start you own magazine and web site...just go away.

How can you live in Tuscany and be this tense? Relax...you think this is abuse, you should have seen the follow-up posts I got when I admitted I used to smoke bundles!
I really fail to understand what prompted the vulgar outburst by Mr. Suckling. As Gordon Mott makes clear, that thread was one of many, many in which the accusation as been made that cA's cigar reviews are based more on ad revenue than taste.
I'm too lazy to do a search right now and I am not sure how far back the archives go these days, but it seems to me that someone starts a highly indignant thread almost every time a "favorite" Cuban cigar is rated lower than a non-Cuban. "cA's ratings are a joke" is almost like a mantra here for some.
To go off on members (and by the way, none of them were HCF) for perpetrating what Mott refers to as a "canard" in such an insulting way (and "cabron" is extremely insulting) seems out of character. Too many mojitos, methinks.

cabron is NOT extremely insulting. It can be MILDLY insulting; it can also be used as a play on the meaning to convey respect for getting a result that the person wanted despite the circumstances. It can also be used to mean something like, "dude". The experts.

I find it ironic how anyone can characterize Mr. Suckling's comment as "vulgar" and at the same time call a raving psychopathic lunatic who spews the most vile, disgusting garbage out of his mouth just about every minute it is open a "Stand Up Guy".
There is something terribly wrong with that.
