It appears from the news reports that Cuba's cigar plantations took a major blow from Wilma. Do we buy now or is the price gonna skyrocket in the next several months..

They've been hit all season it seems. I'm suprised there's any tobacco left.

I feel worse for the people there...

From what I have heard some biuldings took damage but remember, Cuba has has a long standing relationship with hurricanes and are quite adept at dealing with the setbacks that occur from these sometimes devastating storms.
I believe that the tobacco planting season has just started so if there was any plant damage it would not be that much big of a set back to get new ones into the ground.

They don't plant until November; there's no harvest in the summer. So the land lays fallow during hurricane season, and any tobacco has already been taken from the drying barns to sturdy storage facilities.
