About 2 years ago, I went looking without succeess to buy earthworms, during rebuilding of the house the garden got dug up and most of the soil removed/replaced, there was no sign of any worms when everything was relaid. I couldn't find any to buy anywhere and I tried calling gardening magazines etc. The nearest I could find were Tiger worms which are used for composting. Home vermicompost systems are getting very popular here. Earthworms eventually found their own way in anyway. They're good to have.
