Has anyone had any experience with the Tallinn LCDH? Tallinn is a stop-off for a cruise in the Baltic and I wondered where it is located in the city and what to expect. I was hoping to get to see Viking RE there if they are still available.

The casa is just by the old town square, mate. I just came back from that cruise and gave them a visit when we went ashore. The ERdM Vikingos are about $22 apiece nowadays, but at least they still have them! Good luck and btw try to visit the Cigarimaja cigar lounge on the square. Nice place for a drink and a smoke, and they also have the Vikingos...

Yes, in addition to the LCDH there, which is run by Piret Poldsaar, you should visit Sigari Maja, owned by Nataljia Sokolova. She is very knowledgeable (and pretty easy on the eyes as well). She is considered the most eminent lady in the tobacco biz in the Baltic region. There is also a Davidoff shop within Sigari Maja.
Also, consider the Schlössle Cigar Club located, I believe in the Schlössle Hotel. They have a custom made Cuban cigar rolled exclusively for them that is not unlike the Bolivar Coronas Junior. Fun to try just for novelty's sake. And if you want a bite to eat, go to a restaurant called Pegasus owned by Mart Tomson, or you could eat at the above mentioned hotel. Tallinn used to have a cigar festival in October, but I don't know if they still do. It is a charming town. Enjoy.

Habanos will make specialty cigars for its official authorized dealers from time to time. In this case, authorized dealers are those who purchase their Cuban cigars from Rasa Trading Company, the official authorized Habanos distributor for the Baltic region. Both shops I recommended purchase from Rasa, which is located in Tallinn anyway and has a good relationship with Habanos S.A. in Cuba. Like with any other country, there is the possibility of counterfeit cigars if you go to an unknown shop, but being overly skeptical and prejudicing even the official distributors is a big mistake, Paul Watson. Not only does it give no insight into Tallinn's cigar market, but will amount to a lost opportunity to smoke Cuban cigars in a picturesque city.
On a side note, I have smoked Schlössle's custom cigar, and it is quite good. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys Bolivar cigars.
