I found a humidor that's appealing to me Here (I really like the drawers) but I'm not sure if drawer humidors are as efficient as regular lid ones. What do you guys think? Also does anyone own this one or a similar one?

I would stay away from a glass top. There are great deals on regular humidors at Lynn Cigars .com and he ships to Canada.

Thanks for the advice and the website. I already got a glass top it's not bad but I guess I see where the disadvantages are. Only plus I could think of is you can see the digital hygrometer and the cigars without opening it and releasing humidity.

I wouldn't buy that... Get a "Havana Foot Locker" I think also called "Medici." You can get a scratch and denth for about $100 or even less if you look hard enough. This is great for inexpensive storage until you get a real cabinet humidor.

I'm just wondering why. If the humidor is not placed in direct sunlight it should not make any difference. Or am I missing something?

Actually I'm not too sure myself. I mean in theory I could imagine humidity leaks or the sun heating it up but I keep mine in the basement since my room is the hotest part of the house (75+ in the summer even with the AC on) and it works fine. Can't really complaine except that the humidifier that came with it isn't that good so I got some gel.

p.s. Ive got the Pompeii/Churchill

Ok I just searched "glass top" on the forums and only thing that came up was talk about the fake Cohibas. There isn't anyhing about glass top humidors at all. I'm just wondering how many people own them and just how bad are they? What about glass top or door cabinets since all the tower cabinets have glass doors.

It does look nice! Looks like Spanish cedar on the inside as well.
Get yourself a digital hydrometer and your all set!

As for the glass top. I have a cabinet with a glass front door. It is also in my basement.
Its one of the best humidors I've owned. I've had many, and got tired of looking after 4 different humidors so I invested in something bigger to fit them all.
Its called the Verona. That and an Oasis... Money well spent.
