I LOVE the flavor of a PSD4. I smoked one last night I got from a friend. It was amazing. the only bad thing is after I smoke them I always end up feeling way too buzzed and on the verge of sick. Love the flavor, but don't love that feeling. What would be a Smoke that has a similar flavor but in a more approachable strength? I guess I could always just stop smoking it 2/3rds of the way done and not smoke it to the nub like I do, but dang the flavor is sooooo good.

Just start smoking a couple of Habanos a day and your body will soon be used to them. Big Grin

John...Kendo is correct. Smoke more, faint less. It just takes practice. Cool

My own preference for those times when I want something with less kick I go Upman 46 or Juan lopez 2. If you have taken a real liking to Partagas leaf, shorts will give you some good flavor without the nicotine nausea.

John, I think that you should just try different cigars to see what works for you. Sobek's recommendations of the H. Upmann Magnum 46 and the Juan Lopez Seleccion No. 2 are both great choices. You might also want to try the Saint Luis Rey Regios or Serie A, Ramon Allones Specially Selected, Rafael Gonzalez Coronas Extra or Lonsdale, El Rey del Mundo Choix Supreme, or the San Cristobal de la Habana La Punta or La Fuerza. This is just a quick list but it will get you started finding a medium bodied Habanos that you might or might not like.
