I haven't seen any fakes for long while, and thought I'd create a thread where people would post some images of fake CCs.
I'm not trying to duplicate the cA's Counterfeit Gallery, but rather have some fun, and perhaps contribute a little to education of CC noobs.

This is what I think should be the "rules" of posting:

- pics of boxes, cigars, bands or smth else that shows the "authenticity" are welcome;
- post images with quality enough to clearly see the "fake features";
- explain why they are fake;
- do not post any online sources where the fakes come from, but you if you wish, you can write about B&Ms;
- stories of how you (or your friend) got the fakes are welcome.

Thanks in advance for your contributions.

I'll kick this off with my next post.

To better help you identify fakes you may want to take the Sublime Test first.

Enjoy Punta Cana. And my deepest most sincere apologies about the whole marriage thing; I'm so sorry for your loss.

Congrats on the marriage Bo. Don't listen to DC666.

Been married 25 years. She smokes my cigars, drinks my aged rum, bore 3 kids, and does all the accounting for my software company. And she puts up with my knuckle cracking ways, occasional drunkenness, belching contests with my teenage sons, verbal jesting with my teenage daughter, and my obsession with work outs and developing software. Definitely love.

You can do it Bo.

Could you post some pics of the cigars or have you smoked them all?

I still have the Esplendido. I don't think a camera phone photo would be of much help though, so I was going to see about borrowing a digital camera from a friend to get a hi-res picture of the band and the cigar.

Thanks Steve, although I hope I don't turn into my wife's client.... she's a psychologist! Unless what DCrist said is true about marriage. Big Grin

First of all I wish you and your wife happiness together and forever.

Enjoy your honeymoon trip and thanks in advance for any pics you'd bring back.

I intend this thread to be as my collection accesible to everyone, so that it help more people identify the fakes. Of course there are some fakes that can't be positevely IDed by pictures only, so this is more for relatively blatant ones to which many people still fall victim to.

I'm just joking around. Every guy knows that when you get married you lose somethings, but you gain a lot more. I hope you never lose you happiness together. Just a note: Something like 80% of couples get in a big fight on their honeymoon, so here's a word of advice: let the wookie woman win.

It's kind of unfortunate that she's a psychologist though, you're going to have a hard time getting away with any thing. I can picture it now...

Bo, a happily married man has just come home from the sleezy gentlemen's club downtown. He carefully closes the front door so as to not make any noise and he turns around only to be met face to face with Mrs. Bo.
Mrs Bo: Where have you been?! You said you would be home by 12!
Bo: I'm sorry baby, the poker game ran late at Johnny's place.
Mrs. Bo: Due to your rapid blinking rate, the hand to head contact that you've been making, the lack of eye contact, and the fact that your feet are turned away from me, there is a 97.4% chance that you're lying to me.
Bo [thinking]: Dan told me this would happen...

Wow, thanks for the warning! I would've thought that's the cease-fire period.

I just enjoyed a Sublime on Tueaday, so I know this one. Based on the color of the wraper, the authentic Sublime is "D"

What do I get for passing the test?

Good choice, as that is a picture of one of my Sublimes. And man they are the real thing.

I have one problem with my sublimes...that age a little too fast and become maduros. Sweet!

Oh man, that's priceless. Glasstop Cohiba is classic. Especially EL 2007. The one next to it is nothing short of masterpiece - glass tubo RyJ in glasstop Esplendido box; mmm...

Thanks for sharing, Boknows.
