It was always a disturbing image to see the slow motion footage of a man hurling himself on a motorcycle over the fountains of Caesar's Palace, and landing slightly awry on the ramp so that he then bounced off of pavement into a sudden stillness...that was Evel who even rebounded from that crash. Alas, he may recently have come to an agreement regarding a trademark deal, but he has leaped his last hurdle of mortality. Partly crazed, partly brave, partly a little bit of everything, he was a wonderful icon for our recent American history.
