So, I have moved to Hong Kong now and start collecting (buying) cubans after 3+ years of NC smoking. I have a few questions and hope someone can help me out.

I came across a website that sell CC and located in Hong Kong. Their price is, for me, very attractive. As I am new here, I do not have knowledge about how low is "too low to be real CC". Can someone tell me, for example, a box (25) of Mont. #2, selling for US$218. a box (25) of Cohiba Siglo III selling for US$242. Are these prices too low to be real CC?

Also, I guess I cannot post the website here, maybe someone can send me a mail and I can ask about the website (trustworthiness)offline? My email is charliefok at gmail dot com

I found this website from a list of vendor of another online cigar magazine, am I allowed to spell that magazine name out here?

Thanks a lot!

---Charlie

I Do not recall who said it to me but I remember something like vendors Online in Hong Kong can not sell in Honk Kong at those prices.
You will have an email by now regarding your question.
Best regards,

Xavier

Some companies in several countries operate from a duty free trade zone. This means that they can sell items for EXPORT ONLY at prices not counting local taxes/import duties. You may still be able to purchase from these people if you are in their country; however, if you can, you will have to purchase from outside the duty free zone and pay local import duties and taxes, which will necessarily increase your costs.

For example, many Dominican cigar manufacturers operate inside a duty free industrial zone, which means they MUST export anything not consumed on site. Finished goods in a duty free industrial zone cannot be sent directly to the country hosting the zone, but must be sent to a third country and re-imported. That's why Dominican made cigars cost as much or more than DR than in some US states.
