Hey guys,

Anyone know if the new Trini sizes are out in full force in Cuba? What prices are they commanding now?

How about the new EL's? Has anyone come back from a recent trip and have an update on the cigar situation?

TIA

Mike

yeah they have the trinidads now... prices... well it seems everybody forgets to check the prices when they get back! Add about $1 to the Siglo like ones with similar sizes. Siglo I, II and VI I think?

Trinidad Robusto Extra, 12-pack, was $195. That was this past October. Serie D No. 1 EL was going for $290. They have Cohiba Double Corona EL's here and there, but they're like $600.

I just scored some Trinidad's Figurado's. Best way to describe this Cuban is Trinidad Fundadores on steroids, eventhough the wrapper is a lighter golden brown. WOW what a --powerhouse. Score 93, construction 95

In addition, was fortunate to also purchase (first time) HdM EL, 2003, Figurado, slighly boxed pressed. Beautiful cigar, deep dark brown ****oily cigar. Very stong yet pleasant at the same time. Mouth full of flavors (mostly chocolate), one of the best EL's, IMO only second to the RyJ EL DC, which is also an excellant smoke!

Overall rating 95+

Do they come in a glass-top box?

The Trini I'm writing about is the about the same size as a Monte #2, maybe a "little bit wider." The HdM EL is also the same size as the Monte#2 but slightly boxed pressed "also pyramid shape." The Trini's come in different sizes now. I managed to obtain the "Pyramid," shaped Trin.

No they don't. The Trini came from Spain in a all wooden box, w/ the hologram, correct seals etc... Purchased from a La Case del Habanos store. I have smoking Cubans for years. Never tried one from a "glass top/box?" Are they any good LOL...LOL... I'm an Doctor and now the difference between real and fake cubans. I've traveled to Canada, France, Germany, England, Spain, and Switerland and have frequented LCHD stores in each country, during my medical conferences.

I'm sure others on this list serv have tried the Trini's I'm referring to. If not, you should try the Larger Pyramid sized Trini.

You should stick to knowing the difference between a liver and a spleen, because all your cigar experience has not gotten you very far. So because you're a doctor you know the difference between a real and a fake Cuban? Say you. But guess again! Maybe the bad handwriting is a way to cover up bad spelling too.

Wasn't Elmer Fudd a doctor, too? Nyah, what's up, Doc?

Doc,
While I do not doubt your travels, I do question your knowledge of regular production Habanos. According to Habanos S.A., there is not a Figurado made in the Trinidad Brand.

Also, to my knowledge, Romeo y Julieta does not currently make a Double Corona.

The Orignal 2000 release of the Edition Limitada was a Exhibicion No. 2 LE 2000 Prominente 194 x 19,45 49, or a Double Corona, but currently very hard to find at all.

Enjoy your cigars and Merry Christmas.

According to La Casa del Habanos official website the only LCDH on Spanish soil is in Las Palmas in the Canary Islands. So, from the horse's mouth...there is no official LCDH in mainland Spain.

Big Grin

I want to try these nice Trinidad Figurados. Will change it for a Cohiba Torpedo with pre-2000 boxcodes (a friend of mine presented to me, purchased in Punta Cana). Naturally with all stamps and seals and a nice glass top...

Do we have a Deal? Big Grin
