In your opinion, which one is a better smoke?
Partagas Serie P No.2 vs Serie D No.4
and
Hoyo Petit Robusto vs Epicure No.2

Of course it's all subjective, but I really like the Hoyo Petit Robusto for a relatively quick (45 minutes to an hour) smoke. The others you mention are all good, too.

In my opinion you should go with what you like best. As for me I would have to say the PSD#4 and the Epi #2

It's all personal preference. Try everythin and buy boxes of what you like.

My fav from the list is the PSD 4

Allthough all of them are good, I would say that between the SPN2 and the SDN4- the SDN4. I think the 4 is richer, spicer and like the draw of robustos better than companas. Of the HPR and the Epi#2, no taste difference that I can tell. So for me given the option The Epi#2 a great smoke and one of my favorites.

All four are terrific. I prefer the PSD#4 because I'm not a huge fan of figurados, and the Epicure to the Petit because I really don't NEED a cigar as short as the Petit and the Epicure gives me more of what I like about the Petit, and for longer. But really, you couldn't have picked four tougher cigars from which to pick favorites.

I have heard this from others often anough to ask: So, you don't detect any difference between the two? What do you all think--is the P.R. simply a cut-off Epi to you?

Maybe I talked myself into tasting a difference? Because I think that there is a difference. Confused

I'd have to disagree, I think there's a marked difference in the PR and EPI No.2. I find the PR has stronger flavour and more of a 'bite' than the Epi No.2. The No.2 is smoother, almost fruity. Only one guys opinion, but I love them both!

Thanks for all that advice. Well I sent my friend off to go get me a box of PSD4s and HDME#2s. We'll see what happens. I did tell him to only buy from La Corona and LCDHs in Havana but. . . Roll Eyes you never know. "But the guy on the street was selling ones in a nicer box with a glass top for only $50"
