Good evening. I admit, I am a newbie to cigars. Had some good cigar's in St Kitts, came home and promptly bought two humidors. I "think" I have them seasoned. Now I am ready to stock them.
I love the Montecristo #2's. I dont like anything real strong and rough. Any suggestions?

Welcome.

How about RASS. Also try PSD4; but they'll be full flavored.

If you like the #2 then try the Regata from the new open line. It is a litte lighter but awesome construction.

2008 RASSs that I've smoked are very good. I like them better than the ones with 3 years age on them, little bit darker looking, dark brick color, lots of flavor. Trini Reyes is a favorite short smoke of mine, always draws well and has good dark chocolate flavor IMO.

Texan-

Welcome to the CA forum.

If you liked the Monte #2, you probably will appreciate the other stars of the Monte line, the Monte Edmundo and the Monte #4. The Monte Open line has shown some promise as a slightly more mild option.

If you are expanding your horizons a bit, consider the Vegas Robaina line, especially the Unico(same size as the Monte #2) and the Famosos(robusto).

Enjoy your new hobby.

Cheers

I also recommend highly the Hoyo de Monterey Epicure 2

Welcome Texan,
if you like the Montecristo no.2, I would try the Upmann no.2, which is a little milder than the monte, but very tasty.
