Last night I was in the mood for something in the lines of a londsdale, don't know why. And I remembered that I had not tried these Montecristo "D" since when I first bought them.

The box is very nice, with only 10 Habanos, your typical EL wrapper, but a great smell, now I let them age normally at least a couple of years, but last night I just thought let's see how these are smoking.

The smell was great, received great complements from the tables next to us, the draw was great as well, the taste was quite mellow to be honest, tasted a lot like an old trinidad, not chocolate like other limitadas, this one tasted like an elegant taste, not sure how to describe it, it was mellow and easy to smoke.

It never once went out, it did start to smoke uneven at the end, but only at the end, but this habano is really starting to come into it's own.

I love these Els also. I've smoked one so far and it was very very good. Just picked up another box last week to age. Great cigar for the price.

These are great, though I've run into a few plugged examples - maybe two out of the box of ten. Otherwise they're top notch.

Wow, what amazes me is that you actually got complements for your cigar in this day and age of smoking bans! Nice review as well.

Yep, one of my favorite ELs, too.
But I keep forgetting about them -- I guess they're buried too deep in the humidor. Out of sight out of mind ?
