Hi!
I found some prices from a supposed reputable dealer, and I just wanted to see if this sounds about right for authentic CC's. These are all approximations in US dollars.

Cohiba Esplendidos - $40
Cohiba Siglo I - $12
Cohiba Maduro 5 - $32

I just wanted to see if these prices were about right.

Thanks!

They are a bit high (if this is singles you are reffering to).

bcb07 a word of caution, just because the price of a certain cigar is in the range of what a real one would cost does not mean that the cigar is authentic. Having said that the prices are on the high side, I guess it depends on what nation you are purchasing from.

Esplendido $30.00
Siglo 1 $10.00
M5 Genios $32.00

This is what I can get them for. The Genios is a good price if that is what it is.

Thanks for all the replies. This is from a very reputable place, I just wanted to make sure it was in the correct price range....it seems a little high, but pretty close though. Thanks a lot for all the help!

Yeah, I've seen about the same from places in Canada and the UK though... It's obviously from a tax heavy country.

Those prices are a bit on the high side. You would be better off to by in boxes, or 10 boxes. I have seen 10 box M5 Genios for $175, And Siglo I Box for $165- it pays to go bigger

The one place I've done business with in Canada has the siglo 1 for 22$ and the Genios for 48$. No esplendido singles, box is on "special" for only 700$.

Things are expensive everywhere thanks to the declining dollar.

actually, it's more like our 150% tax on tobacco products...

but yeah, the US dollar does have it's effects as well...

But it particularly affects European cigar prices. When there was dollar:euro parity, things were all right, but lately, not so much.

That said, I feel for you Canucks. I mean, 150%. Damn. Talk about providing incentive for a black market.

what I find, is that european vendors that buy from Habanos in Euros have benefited from the weak dollar... the ones that buy in US dollar, well.. someone's got to take it hard Wink

Sal, is right its high but in Ontari-ari-ariooo (Canada) it is more like 200% tax on tobacco.

I'll give you an example, I recently purchased a box of siglo VI's for 420us. That same box sells for about 1480.00 CAD. That's like a 250% markup.

Oh and what kills me is that during this time we have had close to dollar parity with the US since arround Oct 07 and cigar prices are unaffected just like the price of a CA magazine.

Yea and now CA has a "Canada only" cover with no USD on it. A Canadian price of $7 compared to $5 USD.

What do you mean "duty free" Canadian? There are no taxes paid on them?
