The VSG should be very good, and you should like the rest, none of them are crap IMO.

You will get fakes 99+% percent of the time. I seriously doubt you were one of the lucky <1%. I gave this very warning in the other thread you started.

The size you described sounds like a Corona. There is no legit Cuban Cohiba that is Corona size. It may very well have been a good cigar, but it was not the cigar you paid for!

You know, I think I'm through with giving advice to people who just refuse to listen....which is basically every hard-headed newbie on this board. I'm risking carpal tunnel syndrome trying to genuinely help people out who just want to do things their way instead of the smart and correct way. Enough is enough. And people wonder why the fake market is so huge in the U.S....it's because no one will believe that some sweet-talking hustler could con THEM...and because they want a Cuban cigar so bad that they will believe anyone who offers to sell them one. Roll Eyes

You have to go through the proper channels to get authentic product. Period!

Finito. Mad

hey peacemaker...i am a noob but i would like you to know that i have lurked for a while and have read many of your posts and advice giving. i have learned alot from things that you say as well as other vets to this board. i though, think before i speak (some people do not) so instead of coming in here and running off at the lip i took the time to learn how this board works and who has the good advice and info and how "not" to act. you have been one for me. so dont get discouraged that the person you have directly spoke to isnt listening because there are many others that are. thank you and i hope to earn your friendship someday.

Matthew, don't get offended by the guy's comments here, they are a bit sarcastic at times but they are really helpful. It was very helpful for me to hear their advices and discussions, I got to know a lot about the world of cigars even though I do not have a huge tasting experience under my belt.

What you smoked is probably, like they said, a fake. But you don't have to panic, what's the big deal? You loved it didn't you?? That's all what matters, it's all about enjoying the thing, it doesn't matter if it was a Cohiba or a Cojiba or a Hobiba or whatever, as long as you enjoyed it. I had an authentic Cohiba one time before, and another fake one. Honestly, I loved the authentic and I also loved the fake. It wasn't as beautiful as the real one, but it was something.

Don't mind anything, just try to understand that having Cubans is not an easy task in the US, from what I can hear here not from first hand experience. Calm down, enjoy the cigars you can afford now, smoke these fake Cohibas you bought and tell me how you like them, one day you'll be able to get hold of a real juicy Cuban one, and you'll love it because it'd be worth it.

Just open up these fake boxes and give them a try.

Luckly - I agree with you about your first paragraph but enough is enough so many guys have tried helping Matthew and he continue to buy these fakes then gets all pissed off at everyone who tells him he did it again. OK first time he made a mistake 2nd time OK again but after that why listen to him. I made a mistake the first time I didn't do it again.

As for him smoking what he's got go for it even they are fake and they are good and you like them great some of these fakes are really good.

Bob now you gone and done it. Matt will ask you stay out of his posts until his grfd returns his balls and his brains, which she apparently keeps in a very small glass jar. Yikes!

Sorry Matt, I could not resist one last poke at you, especially after trying to erase your Borat photos from my short term memory.

I will leave now. Really, for good. Bye Bye

I'd say most people on this board are 35, 40, 50, 60 years old and don't write or read in "text speak" very well. If you truly want help (and I'm not that sure you do since you seem to promptly ignore most of the genuine and accurate advice given so far), you will attempt to communicate in a manner that most of us have no trouble understanding.

YOU'RE the one who wants something here so YOU should be the one to make an effort to be understood instead of expecting US to do all the work in trying to decipher your "text-speak". Maybe in your world, everyone understands your "text-speak" easily, but alot of us here don't. Seriously, how much more time does it take to type "to" instead of "2" or "and" instead of "n"? And "imma"? I seriously have no idea and don't want to waste MY time trying to figure it out. It makes you sound like a high-schooler and I'm sure people here will take you even less seriously than they already do because of that.

I'm sure proper English is understood by everyone here...but text-speak is not. If you truly want help from us then YOU should adapt to US instead of expecting US to adapt to YOU. Make sense?

Hey Peacemaker - what did you say? There are to many letters in your words and I can't read that fast. Wink
