Smoked a Punch RS #11 the other night and it was fantastic. Hoping to try a Punch Punch soon. They're the same size cigar (corona gorda). Any opinions? Thanks.

Thanks Arrow111 for sharing your experience.
Actually smoked a PP last night. Now it's probably not fair to compare only one cigar to another, but the RS#11 blew the PP away.

I prefer the RS11. It's a shame that they did away with the SS2, as it was among my favorite Corona Gordas.

In the Corona Gorda size, they made the Black Prince, Punch Punch, RS11, and another one. Among them, and among any other corona gorda for that matter, even the Siglo IV, the RS11 is, for me, hands down the best. I prefer it because of its strength and complexity.

I ordered two singles a few months back. This thread made me light one up in comparison to the Punch Punch.

The cigar drew tight (not plugged, just very tight) and did not burn well. I mainly concentrated on the burn and draw and also got distracted by a phone call during the smoke, so I cannot make a fair evaluation yet. After the smoke, it gave me a slight headache probably due to drawing on it too hard. :/

I have one more. Hopefully it'll be better.

I just put a Punch Punch down and it was fantastic. If the Royal Selection is better than it must be one great stick. Cuban Punch aren't available in Canada and I've never bought Punch by the box so I've yet to try the RS.

To me, the RS11 is quite a bit more complex, and a lot more powerful, than the Punch Punch. But to each one's own. One can't say what to like or not to like... The Punch Punch are produced in greater numbers and are readily available almost anywhere Cuban cigars are sold, and the RS11 are not that easy to find. They come in a slide top cabinet, and not the dress box like the Punch Punch (for 25...).

For whatever it's worth. Got a box of RS#11 and the couple I tried (no I can't wait) were also excellent.
