I have been hearing something lately about the Cuban embargo being lifted. I believe there was something about it on JR cigar's website that they were selling some of their stock to make room for the Havanna cigars. Has anyone heard of this, or am I just getting part of the story? Any info would be of great help. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't be looking in J-R's for any Cubans even if this urban legend you heard were true.
Perhaps you should check the J-R site again and maybe Reuters News Service as well. I would hazard a guess that the end of the US embargo against Cuba might just make the news wires. But then again I drink alot so I might just be f'ed up.

I meet so few people who use the subjunctive case anymore. Bless you.

Extensioncord: Bravo! Yet another skillful use of the subjunctive.

(Sometimes the depths of my nerdiness amazes even me.)

SURE - A Lot of people think I'm nuts, but I think something is gonna happen with Cuba, and I think it's gonna happen soon!

Well, another week has gone by and I'm still here and Cuba is still there - BUT, I'm sticking by my prediction: We're gonna see the Cuban Embargo end in 2007 - and we intend to be ready with lots of MOOLAH and lots of humidor space to accommodate all the cigars people will be clamoring for once the floodgates open.

Is Lew Rothman nuts? Maybe he's right but I doubt the President said, "Hey, let's give Lew Rothman a heads up before we end this embargo so he can start unloading Flor de Murias! After all, we don't want to mess with JR!"

My question for Lew is, why do the cigars in the JR catalog always look so damn shiny? Is he slathering them up with baby oil so they look like swimsuit models?

He's got good coffee.
and are thoughs Flor de Murias any good, or worth the sale price.
If they are and he has had them in stock for a long time. They should be well aged Big Grin
I'm thinking they would make a great smoke for friends on poker night. Hey man let me try one of thoughs! Wink
