Have any of you heard of this cigar?

I was on business in Chicago and a vender gifted one to me. I had never heard of this cigar. PSD4 is the highest number i'd heard.
I don't 'normally' smoke or keep up with the larger sized cigars, so I had no reference. Corona and Robusto are usually the largest I consume, regularly.

It was a Churchill sized cigar. Looked Cuban, Felt Cuban, Smelled Cuban, Tasted Cuban......("..glad I didn't step in it" --Cheech and Chong)

Paleto...how's it going? I have heard rumours of a larger regular PSD coming ala the PSD1 '04 EL double robusto and the Churchill Deluxe being discontinued. Have yet to see one of the new ones. Haven't seen a Cohiba Sublimo, either.

I won't be home for a week, so I couldn't compare the band to one of my PSD4 band to tell if it's counterfeit.
The vendor's family lives in Canada and Costa Rica. He's convinced every cigar he gets from them is real. He's a nice, well meaning guy that isn't looking to con anyone or sell them anything. He gives them away for the enjoyment.
I must say, Real Cuban or not, for fakes these things are incredibly good.

He had some churchill sized Montes, too. I didn't get to smoke one, but they smelled great.

Plus, I found a great Cigar Friendly steakhouse there, too. Best London Broil and Oyster's Rockefeller ever. There are 3 of these restaurants around Chicago, but from what I heard the Lombard location, that we went to, is the best.

That's what happens when you're 'gifted' an 'isom' to 'herf'.

No PSD6. Could he have confused a PSD1 or PSD2? 6.5 x 40 or 6.1 x 50.

Is there a way to attach a photo to a post?
I can take a digital picture to the PSD6 band, so can see it.

If the band says Series D #6, you have fakes. There is no such cigar as a #6. Bands can be made anywhere.

I didn't think it was.
Just wanted to warn everyone that these are coming out of Toronto.

If it smelled and tasted Cuban, it probably was. Those are probably custom or grey-market Cubans with funky bands.

...That is, if you trust your palate.
Rollers down there will hook ya up with anything if you ask.

'Course they could also be dog rockets.
If they guy wants to sell you a box of the aforementioned smokes for 150usd- be leery.
