I am a new subscriber to the magazine and would like to try this new number 1 rated cigar. Can these be bought in the U.S.? Here is a link I have found where you can buy them from. Could anyone tell me if these are fake or not? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Trippstrat,

It's always a good idea to read the rules of a forum before posting.
Such as this one at the very top of this forum: http://forums.cigaraficionado.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/7666095/m/849104453

There is this pesky little thing called the Trading With the Enemy Act that forbids U.S. citizens from purchasing goods of Cuban origin. Surely, you've heard of the U.S. embargo against Cuba? Discussion on how to obtain illegal contraband of Cuban origin is forbidden on this U.S.-based forum.

It would be wise for you to edit the link to the site from your post before Admin has to.

Sorry. As you can probably tell, I'm new to this. Didn't mean to break any rules or offend anyone. Now I know :-)

Sure no problem and like they say "Now I know and knowing is half the battle". Those BRCs are forbidden fruits here.

Five cabinets? You mean dress boxes, right?

No, the post was about Bolivar Royal Coronas. "james bond" mentioned he had 5 "cabs" resting, to which I commented he must mean dress boxes, since BRC DO NOT come in cabs, only dress boxes. Of course, RASS now come in 50 cabs. That was never at issue. No idea where kwijibo is coming in with RASS, it has nothing to do with the title of the thread or anything pertaining to which I was referring.

Am happily puffing on a Boli RC right now, sipping Sam Adams Black Lager watching opening night of the MLB season while sizing up my fantasy baseball team. Spring is here. Rain and maybe spitting snow in the Boston forecast, must be Spring... ps- The RC's are fantastic, even from '06, deep, rich, smooth and well balanced. A great cigar.

Here's the confusion:

Just before my post "The thread is about Bolivar Royal Corona, which do not come in cabinets", there was a post saying something to the effect of "Habanos has been putting the RASS in cabinets since 2005". I replied pointing out the discussion was about BRC. The poster must have deleted his post after I posted. Thus it looks like I've put on my captain obvious boots to point out what we all knew.

Anyways, back on topic. BRCs are great, no? To tell the truth, Bolivar has never been my favourite flavour, but I'll have one once in a while.
