Having been self employed for last the last 15 years only to have all my customers go out of business within the last 12 months, I have been on a mission to enjoy myself a little more than what I used to. I've found myself going to a cigar bar here in Charlotte that I hav'nt frequenteed in over 10 years along with meeting Cigar mavens like myself and going to different bars and homes to sample all of our cigars. Any of you Cigar mavens been finding yourself doing this? Im am finding that when I do go back to work, whether for myself or someone else I am going to maintain this aspect of my life I guess I lost. Fortunately my wife supports this so I am thankful for that as well.

What industry are you in?
Cor: Steve, you have proven yourself to be a tremendous whack job.
Good on you Garret. I've also been self employed & run off my feet for the past 6 years & have had business come to a screeching halt this year. With all this extra time on my hands I've also been able to pursue things I didn't have time for earlier.I must say that this recession has been a blessing in disguise for me.
Enjoy the freedom while you've got it!

I guess I'm grateful that I have been too busy lately to relax with a cigar on my patio and watch the sun set. I agree, enjoy your free time while you have it and here's to a prosperous and bountiful recovery to both of you!
I'm in the exact opposite situation. After finishing up my exams in the summer I have found myself working a day job and doing freelance work on the side. My summer of enjoying leisurely smokes is over, but on the plus side I can actually afford to smoke them now!
Sorry I havnt responded sooner was deathly sick with something other than the flu that last 3 LONG weeks. I think this recession has been turing alot of heads and making people step back to see what is important or what they have left out of thier lives in lieu of making mor emoney. Currently I am smoking a Lusi from my 01 stock with some good strong 8 o clock coffee outside listening to FOX news.
