Diplo! Its more complex and really has a different/richer profile than the Monte. The Monte is good mind you, but for my taste the diplo is a better smoke. Also, I find the diplo more consistent than the Monte. I have had Monte's all over the place and they came from the same box.

IMO Montes are a little bit stronger than Diplos, but with different flavor profiles. Diplos tends to lean more toward the cedar, floral category while montes lean more toward the earthy, coffee, spices category. But both are great cigars so really it's a win win situation

Are the Monte's underpriced or are the Diplo's overpriced? There should a $30 to $35 price difference.

I prefer the monte.

Both are intense and complex in flavors, but i enjoyed the Diplo more because it was smoother and NOT as bold/harsh. PLus EVERY Diplo i have had thus far, the draw and burn have been perfecto, unfortunately i can't say the same for the Montes i have had. MOST of them have had horrible draws. That is a HUGE penalty in my book.

Diplos Rule!!! but again, you can't go wrong either way.

I'd go for the diplomatico...

I personally prefer the diplomatico blend over the monte one.. the diplomatico is a deeper and bolder cigar... it is more woody than the monte... as for complexity.. I think they're both on the same level..

now I've rarely had burn issues with diplos... I don't smoke many montes to make a statement about how they burn.. but lots of people over here have complained about that... (if that counts for anything Wink)

diplo gets my vote !!

Disregard all my stupid posts. I misread the first post and thought you were talking about #2s. The price is good for the #4.

I don't think you can go wrong either way. If you already have some MC #4 try the Diplo's or just get a box of both and not worry.

I think 130 is about as low as it can go for a legit source. AWOAI, could you e-mail me about your place? Let me know by e-mail if you want, if not then disregard.
