Hey Everybody! Here is a short review of a RyJ Robusto EL 2001 that I smoked the other day.
The cigar looked pretty decent, though not very dark at all. When squeezed, it felt very squishy, not like the other Habanos I have. The bands I can guarantee are legit, however, the EL 2001 band was pretty loose. I did the cut, and the cap came off nicely. Nothing special to the pre-light draw. Just good ol' tobacco flavors. Upon lighting, I didn't really get much out of the first few puffs. It was very bland. The flavors were just flat. As I smoked it, this hardly changed. Earthy flavors began to become more pronounced, but still very bland and flat. The draw was nice and it had a fairly even burn. Unfortunately, there was nothing really worth raving about.
If you need any more info, feel free to ask. It was a sampler, so I don't have any box codes. If you may please share your experiences, it would help me out greatly. Just trying to see if these are legit or not.
Thank you very much everybody, Eddie

I have smoked a few of these I bought last year at LCDH in BA. Similar experiences. Nothing really great compared to regular RyJ line. I find most RyJ are kinda squishy and burn poorly. MC Robusto EL much better smoke.
Wow....I've actually had quite the opposite experience and truly enjoyed this cigar on numerous occasions...LCDH Tijuana has had some excellent boxes...maybe it depends on the flavor characteristics you are used to.

Sometimes what you ate or drank before you light up can have an effect. I have some of these and find them great especially with some age , much better than when they were fresh.
