I took these photos when I was out of country and was curious on peoples thoughts..I've never seen any before...Things that give me pause (and am why I'm asking here)

Moni PEdmundo: One ring has a different tone of color than the other two and you can see the machine (stamp)marks on the inner circle.

Epicure: Label on the right looks like it was torn from its host (not a clean cut) and are these even Hoyo labels??

Photos:

I have no idea about any of these so any help is appreciated (all be it late)

They look legit. The new Monti band has a raised center ring as your photo shows.

Monti's are classic for having slightly different color bands. The Hoyos look ok. Smoke'm and you will know.

They look real to me. Real bands can end up on fake cigars, but in addition to the real bands, the caps are right and the wrappers look good, so I'd say they're real.

I can see the triple caps, so you're good there. I do not really see any visual signs that would make me say here's a red flag.

But that's all nothing - some visual things can tell right away that a given stogie is fake, but if everything looks good doesn't mean it's legit for sure. What the others said - the only way to know is fire'em up.

The verdict is....BEST smoke I've ever had (the Monti Petite Edmundo). I don't understand how to decribe what I experienced but here were some of the notible events:

1) Cool in my mouth, was not acrid. I would get some taste from the smoke and think for a second it was going to be strong and then I would blow it out and it was smooth- my palate would feel almost fresh? with just a slight residual taste of the smoke..but only slightly.

I understand how someone could smoke these on and on.

2) Had three distinct flavors through the smoke. I don't know what they were but they were distinguishable. The last 1/4 I could decribe as peppery maybe..Not spicy but a peppery taste and feelings on the tip and sides of my tongue...

3) This sounds stupid but I'm a big fan of brushing my teeth after a smoke. Most of the time when I smoke a whole stoogie my mouth and tongue burn a bit. Does that with mints too..A little sting...No such effect from this smoke what so ever...unusual...

4) 100% different than anything else I've ever smoked..In regard to taste, smell, the way it burned, the ash, etc...

I smoked one OpusX that was aged a year the other day and it has a smoothness and coolness to it but was not equal to this.

I can't imagine they might get better than what I experienced...

Does this sound like what someone would say if it were real? Big Grin

Looks like we've got here another CC convert Smile Not that it's difficult to convert people once they actually smoke a legit and good CC... This time it was Monte petit Edmundo to do the job.
Anyway, welcome to the wonderful world of the CC! Now store up some patience if you're in the US Wink

Yer a goner. Exactly the taste profile of a CC.

Opux X's are good, Padron 26/64's are even better, but the Cuban's are in a league of their own.

Eron can vouch for me and my Secret Santa was incredibly generous too. I had a PE not too long ago and it was about the same experience for me as well. Every time I open my humidor I see the CCs I want to smoke and all the poor NCs that are going to get passed by from now on.
