About six months ago I got a box of Magicos and I'm so addicted. My question is, are the flavors across the line consistent? Would the genios be consistant with the magicos & the secretos? If so, my next purchase will be the big brother of the series. Thanks.
I bough a sample pack of 9 maduros (3x of all 3 sizes) and found the Magicos to be the best. The larger sizes are rather disapointing, and may need a few years to come around.

I have tried quite a few Secretos and just one Genio, but unfortunately no Magicos. Based on that - Secretos seemed a lot richer, with spicy and coffee flavors dominating. Awesome smoke. For Genios the flavors were not that pronounced, but still quite a good smoke. Though I guess with just one smoke it's not fair to judge, especially that at the time the person who gave it to me said it's just a month or two old.

I have been very much enjoying the Genios. Very high quality cigar. I dunno Steve, these taste very good to me and I think that the ingredients are all there for these to age very well. To my pallete they taste great now...I managed to pick up a 25 count box for less than $400 and I am very happy i did.

The wrapper is 5 years old, but what about the rest of the tobacco in the cigar?
I think people generally prefer the Secretos because you get more of the wrapper flavor with such a small diameter cigar, whereas with the larger sizes, the wrapper contributes much less to the overall flavor of the cigar. Based on that justification, I think the larger size Maduros will come around nicely in a couple of years, once the binder and filler "catch up".

just got 10 of the secretos in todays mail,i'll put them away for a month and then try them out,seems from what i read they should be good,im a siglo 2 man usually..also got 10 monte petite edmundos,anybody have a feel for these,thanks
The Secretos are decent cigars, but I would not say they are a home-run. Still waiting to see what these are like given some time.

its unfair to compare the cohiba lines for taste, apples and well...different apples.
if you enjoy the magicos, you will love the genios. they are real gems. the secretos appear to be the most popular, but i have a small hunch that it more due to their vitola, availability and price point.

This crossed my mind as well, but it seems that most everyone who has smoked and can afford all three still feel that the Secretos are the best of the line.

I have a box of each.. and when i tried them all, i found the secretos to be the one that is the most ready to be smoked as of right now...
Agreed. I had another Genios the other day and they are superb. Not had the smaller sizes yet but I get these Genios on sale for $16 per stick and I think they are definately worth it at that price.

after smoking the cohiba 06 pyramides el yesterday with friends, we wondered if perhaps this were the original inspiration for the maduro 5 line and were left hoping that some day the very fine genios would mature into puros comparable to the near perfect els.
So you think the 06 Piramide EL is that much better than the Genios??
