Yes I just got a box of Cohiba finest ( none fake, got all the papers ). But the guy stored it in his closet for two years witout even opening it. Last week I got this box, kepping it in a sealed plastic bag in 50% humi, opening it now and again to circulate the air.

Now they were totally dry, I know they will never be stored 100%. I'm hopeing that it will take 6 months until I can try them out. Do you have any opinion ?

I would open the box and inspect the cigars as they may already be too dried out and flaking badly. I had a box of Siglo VI's that were so dried out they pratically turned to dust. Luckily the vendor replaced them for free.

Read this link, and scroll about halfway down to the Restoring Dry Cigars. Hope this helps.

Thanks, this explained a lot Big Grin

I've already opened it up and found four that were cracked, but the rest looked ok but were dry, they didn't dust up on me Smile

After 2 years in a closet, I think the prospects are pretty grim. You may be able to rehabilitate them to the point where they can be smoked but the flavors will never be what they should be

Well if not for the sweet cigar taste, I will at least look cool smoking a cohiba robusto :P

But I know it will never be the same and it makes me sad, but I have few cohibas and more than a handfull of montecristo's in prime condition and it makes a big smile on my face Smile
