Well, after about a year of enjoying cigars, I had my first experience with a CC this weekend. A friend of my father gifted me a Montecristo #2 for the end of my first year of law school. What a great cigar! I've been enjoying the NC selections for about a year, but the distinctive flavor of the #2 hit my palate immediately. I'm not one to describe the flavor of these cigars in terms of commonly known foods. The #2 was simply a great experience and provided me with a well needed relaxation period.

I've got two RyJ Short Churchills aging in my humidor. I'm really looking forward to those to see how they've developed since I purchased them at LCDH while on vacation in December.

Needless to say, I feel like I've been introduced to a completely different world and I am savoring my next CC!

A friend gave me one of those RyJ Short Churchills a couple of months ago and it was fantastic! Think it had about 6 months on it. Hope you enjoy them.

Awesome!

I, too, just had my first CC. I was with some work buddies and we were stepping outside to enjoy some cigars. One of them, knowing that today was my birthday, told me to put away my NC, and produced two Montecristo Edmundos which we enjoyed without even telling the rest of the crew of our change.

It was GREAT. Smoother than I could have imagined, and almost buttery in it's texture. The ash was long, sturdy and light gray. Really a delicious smoke.

Now I have a new problem besides getting old -- I want more.

Yes, and what an addiction it is. You will probably find yourself to be like me, where after you find out how to get them, and begin to stock your humidor, it will be very difficult to pull out a NC from now on. Enjoy it and buy a bigger humidor.

It's been so hard to let those two Short Churchills sit there next to everything else I've been smoking - but I know the payoff will be great. I'm working on getting some more CCs, so hopefully I'll be enjoying them more frequently in the near future.
