I have a 28bt vinotemp I'm having a problem getting my humidity right. I have about 15 bottles of wine in it and I just put a new custom cedar tray with about 50 cigars. I have about a half pound of 65% beads in it and and my humidity has been around 45-48%. I salt tested my hygometer and its good and my drain is plugged. any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
A Half a pound can regulate up to ~2.5 Cubic Feet, I have a 12 bottle that is 2.4 cubic feet so yours is bigger and you may not have enough beads, EVEN if you DO have enough beads when you open the HUGE front door all the moisture slips out and the beads have to re-work to get the right Rh... So I'd say go with at least a pound if not TWO pounds to recover quicker
You can NEVER have too many beads. I'd try that 1st, then unplugging and relocating to a location which doesn't require the cooling next. Last resort, you could get another cooler dedicated to the cigars. If so, make sure it's thermoelectric!!
Who's got 2 thumbs and loves cigars? This guy.

I have the opposite problem. I have to keep my door open to keep the RH under 70-75. Not sure whats going on.
