Just back from a week in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. Lived there for some years and went back for Dubai Rugby 7s and some sun. Went to the LCDH while I was there and bought a variety of smokes for the stay. Great selection and great prices.

While their prices are good, the Airport Duty Free are even cheaper. So last night at the LCDH I bought some Partagas Shorts. Would have got a cab of 50, but just got a box of 25 as I had no more space (plus the fact that I live in Europe allowing pretty easy access to cubans anyway).

GKI Feb 04 at 330 Dirhams = 67 Euro = 90 US$

The cab of 50 were 628 Dirhams 127 Euro = = 171 US $

So if any of you are flying through Dubai, you can expect some great offers.

Great to hear you had a good time! I was actually planning a trip to the 7's but it was not to be Frown

Dubai Airport LCDH is the best place I have been to purchase cigars next to La Cava Magallanes in Madrid. It's too bad they dont have the biggest selection. I always take at least a cople of boxes on the way through though.

I travel through Dubai quite frequently on business and visit the LCDH at the airport every trip.

Haven't made it to the LCDH downtown due to time restraints, but one day..

The cigar shop in the Abu Dhabi duty free is also quite good if you every make it over that way.

I once traveled through Napa Valley and I picked me up a case of Sutter Home White Zinfandel!! Was gonna get TWO cases, but I didn't have the space. I just LOVE that stuff.

It's not really worth taking the trip to LCDH in Emirates Towers. It would make a good place in which to smoke just for the experience, but it's underground, small (kind of claustraphobic) and the prices aren't great. They have a great range of limited edition humidors though.
