Hi gentleman, I am an avid cigar smoker and so is my son. we enjoy mostly NC and CC when on vacation. I however was going to buy him a box of boli RC a/t 10 box for christmas but I'm very skeptical on the sources I've been given.
A B&M tobacconist that has taken good care of me for years and has been in business for 3 decades is a big CC smoker. Never walk into his store without seeing one in his mouth. However he gave me the name of an online source that I checked out and found to have a bad rep for fakes. The funny thing is he has been ordering from them for many years so interested I go back and ask him what he ordered laity and he said " I just got a box of 46 MAG in yesterday I've got them in my office airing out because they always come over humidified" ?? over humidified? I asked and he said " ya they are soft and to humid to smoke". So I asked him If I could try one because I have never smoked a 46 MAG. He gave me 2 and when I got home upon inspecting it I found it was soft but didn't feel to humid , I lit one and it tasted real spicy with a little coca in the backdrop, very one dimensional. so after that I decided to cut the other open and this is what it was filled with.......Filler
filler zoom 1
filler zoom 2
binder
binder 2?
wrapper

all

It did not taste good to me at all. I just don't have the heart to tell him that all of those CC's he's been buying from them all these years may be fakes. when I mentioned to him about using the UV light and sec check he cut me off and said " that's just to much trouble I'm not going to do that...I know what they taste like" in a very arrogant manner. So like an idiot, a few days back before this investigating I gave him $175 for a box of monti no2 that he ordered and said it's a contact that he has in the states and that they would be shipped sealed. I was skeptical and told him "that's fine but if the milk turns out to be sour that I wasn't the kind of pussy that was going to drink it". He assured me that if there was something wrong with them that he would quote "make it right" so I thought I would roll the dice since I've done business with him for a long time , but now I'm convinced that I've got a box of fire wood coming in the mail.

Anyway If any of you guys have a good source that will intact ship and guaranty deliv please PM/ email me as I don't have much time to get this gift here for my son. (I have been looking at a certain popular Hong Kong dealer that ships intact and dilv grnty) but I don't know if they have been flagged.

Thanks for all your help...

hey pal, first i would be worried about most if not all American sources out there. I am sure some have been good for some people but personally I have seen too many people with a cigar in their mouth and realizing they have a fake, but you are right in how really do you tell someone that your smoking junk. I do not know any sources out there, but what I would recommend is that you get a Canadian source from like a local tobacconist. The are probably the best places to get what you need. If you are able to get a relationship with some i am sure things will work out way better for you. I know sources cannot be mentioned on this site and would be bad for me to do so. Although if you were to give someone your email then that would not be on this site and maybe that person can lead you in a few different paths. Hope this helps.
