Ramon Allones Specially Selected JRT MAR 04 ***SCORE 92-94 - Hold or Smoke with a really tasty now
Last night was finally a chance to relax with a pour of Rum and an Habano since I was too busy this past weekend. First of all, let me say, that the caps on the Cuban robusto size cigars I've recently smoked have been all excellent. They certainly know what they're doing and deserve all the great things that have been said about the fine construction.
The RASS was a beautiful medium brown with an excellent appearing wrapper, it lit without effort and burned evenly, eventually creating over an inch long ash, even draw with its mythic cloudy white smoke, that had a slight cloves character to it, medium to full body on the palate. What struck me was the balance and composure of the flavor profile that held even at 2/3's consumption. Bready with lapping flavors of Ethiopian coffee beans, profound but never over-powering. What a superb cigar.
My thanks to Dag on this edition. Maybe one can day I can convert him to love Bush as much as I fell in love with this RASS...just kidding, Dag! Take care!
I have had a couple from my box -SEU ABR04-. They were close to your description except I can't relate to what an Ethiopian coffee bean tastes like. I think these young cigars will only get better with a year or so of ageing on them.

To me, Ethiopian coffee is usually more acidic with a berry or flower nuance to the coffee bean as opposed to your more chocolate coffee bean reference.
