Was at a friends house last night.Enjoyed a great meal fine spirits. And finally a great cigar a Punch 1998 Churchill i could not believe the ash on this cigar.Never seen one that big on a Cuban. This Cigar was unbelievable it burned quick but never hot.Only took 45 minutes to smoke which is fast for a Churchill. With out a doubt the best Cuban i have had in a long time spicy woody peppery awesome. Here's a link to the pictures my buddy took of it enjoy. http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd163/sheepsheadbayr...n%20Ash/S4020371.jpg
I know what you mean.I have been smoking cigars for about 30 years and this is the first time. The damn thing just kept holding on.To boot the cigar was also a great one.The smoke was thick and chewy and blue in color.Who says you can not get a real Cuban in the states.

I read somewhere once that Winston Churchill would straighten out a paper clip and stick it lengthwise through the foot of his cigar, and while negotiating with the worlds leaders all would be on the edge of their seats waiting for that incredibly long ash to fall off... I've been meaning to try it myself someday, if I can ever get all the worlds leaders over...
Yeah but thats a Dominican they are known for ashes you have to break off with a chisel. This Cigar was a Cuban that kind of an ash is unheard of.In over 30 years of cigar smoking i have never seen an ash like that on a Cuban.

This was my first Sir Winston, smoked it on Mr. Churchill's birthday as mentioned in my other thread. The cigar was pretty bland and boring for the first half, but it got interesting and tasty in the second half. I love the creamy toasty taste after a double puff. Smoked this one with a 12-year-old mix barreled Famous Grouse Scotch whisky. I know it is probably crap for some of you who are whisky experts, but this is my first time pairing whisky and cigar, and it was surprisingly enjoyable for me.

After reading that I thought that His Bday would be a great time to smoke the single 03 Sir Winston I have. Then I looked on Wikipedia at his birthday Only 365 days to go... Leap year next year so it is the farthest away it could ever be.. Oh well 1 more year of age won't hurt.
