The labels look real but the cigars don't look to consistent. I know Cohibas are suppost to have a perfect construction. I am not the pro when it comes to Cohibas though. I'm sure some of the Cohiba fans on this forum will have a better eye them then I do. They do look pretty nice and dark to me. Send one over to me and I'll try it and give you a more in depth review.

well, the fact that you got them from a local cigar shop raises red flags all over the place. The edicion limitada band just doesn't look right, then again, I don't have too many LE bands to compare with, but it just looks too smooth and not embossed at all. How much did you pay for them? I think price is a good indication if you paid very little for them. Doesn't mean you got real ones just because you paid a lot, but if you paid very little for them, it's a sure sign of fakes.

Ill have to agree. A well known site Ive compared the pics above too. The 2003 above is way off.. The 2 on the real cc looks like its more under or between the O and N under the word edicion where as with the pics above it appears to be directly under the N. and also with the 3 above pics shows the 3 under the letter M when compared to the real one the 3 appers to be more under the L.. The things we have to do to make sure we have the real deal..

I'm totally confused Now. I believed that they were fake untill I smoked one. Very nice. Is it possible they could be real cohibas but not the el? Would someone from cigar afficinado willing to take one of these off my hands? Let me know

Standard cohiba lines dont have that dark of a wrapper.

And what would this involve? A trade or are you selling them?
Cor: Steve, you have proven yourself to be a tremendous whack job.
There is your first sign of problems, way to low of price. They may be Cuban street cigars, filled with low grade tobacco, which is still better than most cigars sold int he US.

Just because they're fake Cohiba EL 2003s does not mean they have to be dog rockets. They might be very good cigars in their own rights, but that does not make them a Cohiba DC. It's like if I take a Partagas Lusitania and apply the Cohiba and EL bands onto it. Yes, it's a good cigar, but it's not a Cohiba DC. By the way, Cohiba does not make a regular production DC.
Hope that clears up your confusion. I think you should take these back, no need to send one to anybody. If you like them, then keep them and enjoy them, but if you were like me, I hate to be ripped off by the vendor for selling me some fakes.
they are fake. Almost every supposed Habano sold in a US shop is fake. You have to be very lucky to find a real one. Better off to get them from overseas. More chance of them being real and cheaper.
