Lovin' Hoyos lately, but have not tried this one. Opinions? Notes? Good/bad years? Favo(u)rite box codes? Anything...positive or negative. Thanx Much.

I have a cab from '06 that are wonderful. These are richer than most Hoyos, and very consistent.

The leaf of gods is the literal translation and it fits the bill quite nicely.

they are mild; but they have lots of creamy, flavorful smoke.

the size is a little on the small size for my tastes; however, it is a great mid day, post lunch smoke that i have throughly enjoyed on many occasions.

they are worth exploring.

Picked up a cab ASB Feb 07 last year and enjoyed what I tried of the first couple of sticks bought a second, which will be left for a good while.

Actually the literal translation is a bit less glorious - "The Hole of the Gods" - but of the gods it indeed is. These are great cigars in a unique vitola. They have a unique woody creamy flavor that's very nice. Old cabs are still plentiful, so go for it I say.

Forgot about this thread. I ended up getting a 5'er, and if I recall correctly they were '03s...they were excellent! Nice woody, creamy profile as others have mentioned. I also got some subtle coffee/caramel/leather notes from them. Very nice. Glad there are plenty of cabs available with some age.

These are one of my "go-to" cigars. I love the exotic woody flavor. If you don't like to taste wood in your smoke, chose another cigar.

Smoking one right now from 2000.. Really mild, smooth, and creamy. Tasty but I prefer a little more oomph. These would be perfect for beginners who wants to experience a good Cuban
