Has anyone tried the Ramon Allones Estupendos, a Regional Edicion for Asia/Pacific Region? Please let me know your impressions. I think I am going to try a few of these.

Yes, delicious cigar & smoking very well. Much more forward than the previous year's RA Estupendos, which are still pretty tannic.

Of the RAs I've smoked, I'd say the Estupendo tastes closest to the 898.

excuse my ignorance, but what size is the Estupendo?

Sounds wonderful, I have a business client heading to HK in a few weeks, are they still readily available and at what kind of price?

A friend of mine wants to do a box split on these. If there smoking good now, I'm thinking of getting a full box for myself. Sounds as if everyone was enjoying them 6 months ago, but wanted to be sure before I pull the trigger on a box.

Had a few in the summer. Superb cigar. I didn't have patience and smoked them all. Although they were a great smoke the aging potential is tremendous.

You can get a box of RAG for $100 - $130 less ... are the Estupendos still worth getting?

I've HEARD 05 RAGs are pretty good, but 06 & 07 not up to par. From personal experience, the 02 RAGs are excellent, 04s bland, but the Estupendo has a different flavor than the RAG.

Mine are 06 & after being great fresh, have been a little bland recently. Hopefully, just a short sick period.

The 2006 edition is better than the 2007?
What´s the word on the street?
Thanks,

Xavier

Can't say which is better. I never smoked an 07. Word on the street is the 06 issue has tight draws, but not so the ones I've smoked. Probably easier to find the 07s now.

I will smoke one this weekend. What I know is that in 2006 were more boxes on the market. Then, in 2007, the number went lower (not that much).

If I notice some age potential I will buy more...

Thanks!

Xavier

i have a Cab of 06 (50 sticks) and i am yet to try, great to hear they are worth the wait to smoke.

they look stunning in the cab format,

anyone tried the Punch super robusto, all i have tried in the same regional release have been very good, out of the Super RObusto and the Estupendos it was said at the time the super robusto was the better. ?
