It was awesome. It has been so long, and maybe never, that I have had the privilege to light up a cigar and have a perfect draw, smooth creamy cuban flavor with no harsh aftertaste right out of the box (after 2 weeks). The flavor is maybe a bit more mild than some may expect however. It did just slightly lack the desired robustness you may want a cigar to possess in order to develop perfectly with age. But I do recognize the potential it carries going forward. The Montecristo sublime I had is an absolutely incredible cigar. It shocked me that it was already so developed and impressive so soon. The Sublime actually resembles a vintage Upmann from the early 90's which is truly amazing given it's youth. WOW. My advice - Grab em while you can guys, this will blow away the Cohiba Sublime right away, but in 5-10 years... well I will leave that alone for now.

I tried two over a couple of days and moved my boxes to long term rest.
The sleeper though as I said in another post is the D5. Man it just comes out of the gate running when you light it and only stops when you lay it down after finishing it.

I overstated when I mentioned the Cohiba Sublimes. I think I was so impressed that I forgot how good the CSs may have been. But I didn't noticed any off taste. Although it was missing something and I can't put my finger on it. But nevertheless, they were just awesome.

But their taste is off. I would not even begin to compare them to the Cohiba Sublime EL 2004, as they need years of sleep before they are good to go.

My thoughts exactly. I won't be smoking another one for at least a year.
I'll have to agree with SC and ECord. I only had one, but it was a bit rough around the edges to start, and the flavors never really took off. There were hints of cocoa, much like the Regalos, but the intensity was pretty mute.
One factor could be that the cigar is too wet. My digital hygrometer showed 65, but the cigar felt wet, where it gives considerably when pressed. The draw was perfectly fine, but the burn was a bit off. I might try another one in a few weeks after lowering the humidity.
Graham, I'd be interested to see what you think since it came out of the same box as mine.
They could vary is quality. I mean, mine was simply awesome. I was like smoking a perfectly aged cigar, perfect burn and draw and the taste was fantastic. I can see your point on the flavor not taking off though.
