I've heard that Castro fell down during his speach yesterday. He hurt his knee and arm, he suffered no serious injuries.

He's 78. I guess his not young stud anymore. Is that a first sign of his retreat?

Me, too. I was DJing in a club in MS and what was left of Foghat was playing. I had been drinking double rocks glasses full of Wild Turkey and Ice cubes most of the early evening. The time came for me to say, "Ladies and gentlemen.....FOGHAAAAAT!, and I did so. Seconds later on my exit from the DJ booth, I tripped over the high hat stand and knocked over 1/3 of the guys kit. I was never given free drinks again. Oh, and I am having a PShort for lunch

Certainly something happening.

He usually does not fall. He's not clumsy.

He's OK, just a couple of broken bones. Don't forget he's an old geezer and is not as nimble as he used to be.
read about it here;

I saw the film of his fall on the news.

He was walking toward and crowd of spectators and trip going down an a 8 inch step.

I think he didn't see it.

I must be getting soft since I left the Marines, but Castro is 78 yrs-old and watching him fall made me feel sorry for him. It was like watching anyone of that age fall. I don't want see any senior citizen fall and hurt themselves.

Looks like the format for the forum has changed around here. It took me a while but I was able to re-register.

Is it the first sign of a retreat?

Very well could be. When anyone at that age suffers a serious injury they'll many times develop more problems just from the manditory bed rest needed to recover. If the knee injury was severe enough, he won't be on his feet for quite a while.

Life is all about ass - you're either covering it, laughing it off, kicking it, kissing it, busting it, trying to get a piece of it, behaving like one, or you live with one!

I wouldn't believe everything you "read" regardig Castro. I mean indeed he fell, but the issue of his not smoking cuban cigars...that's open for debate!
