Hey BP, tough decision. I would go with the PSP2s. Great flavor, extremely smooth, and yet has an awesome spice to it. I got a box about a year ago, and those just get better with age. I'm not saying the Upmanns aren't a quality cigar, I've had the Upmann No.2s as well, very good, but head to head I'd go with the PSP2s based on my experience. Just my humble opinion.

Don't count out the VR unicos. Great cigar. The upmann's are decent but need some age. The PSP 2 is obviously a great cigar, and so is the BBF. I hate the Monte 2 ( i know, i know...but i honestly haven't had one that tickled me yet. ) PSP 2 , or BBF with the unicos a close 3rd....

Going through a box or VR Unicos right now and like it as my favorite piramide. Like lilo said I dont particularly likeMonte 2 and have never smoked a BBF I like but thats just me.

Pete, any experience with LRE FEB 09 / LRE MAR 09 on the BBFs? They are a little cheaper too...
To be honest I can't recall ever smoking any 09 CCs.. other than REs and a Trini Robo T this coming weekend All BBF I've ever smoked, even those as young as a year prior have been potent yet smooth. If you're looking for something young, nubile, and ready for action people at my B&Ms swear by the Dukes.. but they've also said the new Boli Petit Belis needs some age

I love the cedar/leather/tea flavor and almost floral/citrus finish of the PSP2. The thing is that to my tastes it's a pretty mild cigar - one of the few that I can retrohale pretty much the whole draw without problems.
I've never had a BBF or a Unicos. How do they compare strength-wise with the PSP2, now that the Upmann seems to be out of the running?

Really depends on if you want to age or smoke now. If you could dedicate a box for aging, and smoke one per year, 25 yrs later, the changes will be very rewarding. On the other hand, Upmann 2 might be less complex over the years. Another vote for the PSP2, my new favorite. T

Well Dan, as it happens, you will be getting my LAST PSP2 (and it's a beauty - very slightly darker wrapper than normal - it looks yummy) as part of your World Series contest winnings.
And they are absolutely delicious, as you may or may not know.
So now I'm out of piramides - which is what prompted the question in the first place - you dirty dog you!
