Exciting news confirmed by our good friend, Dennis Hernandez.
The new Cohiba Atmosphere Club & Restaurant will be celebrating it's opening in Cancun, Mexico on November 21st, 2009. In coordination with I.E.P.T., the opening will incorporate the official launch party for the Montecristo Open line in Mexico. Many distinguished guests from HSA are expected to attend as well as the other Cuban cigar dignitaries from Mexico and Europe.
The club, expected to be the finest adult nightclub in Cancun will feature the finest products produced by Humidif of Barcelona; one-of smoking accessories and humidors and special edition products produced by Humidif for HSA. It will also have the biggest walk-in humidor and ultimate selection of Habanos in the peninsula.
I have seen the club and I expect it to become a must-see pilgrimage for all Habanos lovers who visit Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and the rest of the Mayan Riviera.

the clube is on the cancun periferico, in between the hotel zaone and downtown.

easy enough to drive to, although i assume most folks will take a cab.

Any updates on the Cohiba Atmosphere. My wife and I will likely be in Cancun the second week of Nov. Will it be open yet, or not until the 21st for the big event?

I don't believe that the club or the lounge will be open until the official launch party on the 21st.

Send us an email when your trip approaches and I'll let you know if there are any new details.

Just double checked with the owner and apparently they have plans to open the cigar lounge on/around the 14th. It is apparently still pretty fluid, but if I get more info, I will post.

Any new info Drew? I'm leaving for Cancun in a few days!

The party begins on November 20th for Habanos folks and continues on all weekend. Full walk-in, lounge & bar et al. should be fully functional by Nov. 22.

I hope to be lurking around all weekend. This should be the ideal spot in Cancun to select and enjoy a fine Cuban cigar.
