I'm smoking a a RyJ Gold Band Cuban cigar tonight. Excellent construction--a little box pressed, wrapper is deep brown/oily, extremely flavorful (this batch is much better than the bathces of RyJ Churchill's I've tried before--wrapper is much nicer and smoke much richer and full of cream, chocolate, hint of pepper, Overall rating 92,
Sig III for tomorrow- nothing today as I attended a rowdy wine dinner last night...took care of a fresh Trini Coloniale and an Upmann PC from the 80s at the conclusion of the feast life is good right now

I am basically boycotting the holiday since my Ahole boss says no vacation during sweeps. SO I have to sit in my apartment 500 miles away from my family in NC. SO I looked in the humi, almost grabbe a Sancho Sancho, but opted for an olive drab LGC Tainos that feels heavy, so it should draw like crap. It is exceedingly cedary and peppery and is burning SLOOOOWW. But it is not too bad. But it is surely not the great cigar I would be smoking if I were happy. Of course, I am off today, but tomorrow I have to go back to work for a day. When I get home in the evening, I will smoke a Trinidad REx....or Monte 2...or Siglo 6....or that big Sancho. Who knows. But my mood will be better.

On turkey day I had an awesome Cohiba Esplendido. It burned like a champ and is the best cuban that I ever had. This is because I haven't smoked the Cohiba limited edition double corona that a friend of mine gave me yet. He said that it is by far the best cuban out their right now.

Cohiba day...Siglo III from 1996, Siglo VI, and Cohiba Sublime, not in that order, and merely within the basic time frame.

Thanksgiving saw me giving thanks for a 1992 Partagas Lusitania. Amazing smoke & much stronger than the current version. Yesterday, a RASCC and SLR Regio, while today I fired up a 1998 Monte Especial #1 & RyJ Cazadores. I love long weekends!
