Dropped in at Thomas Hinds in TO and picked up some custom rolled cigars, coronas and #2's, by Arnaldo Alfonso. He was rolling them with 4 year old Cuban tobacco, as I watched.

Custom Cuban cigars

That is insanely cool. I've watched a couple of rollers work in different places and it's definitely a talent I don't think I have.

Very cool. What did he charge?

I see from the TH website that he will be there for another 2 days. I may have to drop in.

Hey Steve, if you don't mind me asking. How much do customs like cost. I'm just wondering.

These look yummy, especially the piramides. Nice score. Steve, please do let us know how they smoke and are they worth the price, when you finish one.

At a local B&M I was told they plan to bring a Cuban torcedor to roll cigars for customers. I want to be prepared what to expect...

Nice score Steve, you should make some EL bands so they can fit in better with the rest of your collection!

I went there with my neighbour this afternoon.
I've never been to Tomas Hinds before.
They have some very nice cigars there. Very good pricing on Cohiba.
They had a stocked Cohiba humidor with about 100 cigars in it. It was on sale for $10,000.00

I bought two Robusto's from Arnaldo. He really took his time to roll a very nice cigar for me.
The caps he made were very well constructed.
I can't wait to smoke them.

Then I brought my friend over to Corenti cigars to get a few more hand rolled cuban cigars.

That's one cool place.

I was at Thomas Hinds myself yesterday (Friday) to see Arnaldo and purchased 4 Robustos and a friend of mine purchased 2 "Big Mommas", they are about 10 Inches long with a ring guage of at least 52.
Cannot wait to try these out, they look wonderful. Going to let them sit for quite a bit before I light one up!

Fuzzuki - I was at Corenti myself about 2 weeks ago, and purchased 2 robustos, 2 torpedos, 2 petite coronas and 2 20 year old aged churchills.
I must say, the robustos were WONDERFUL, they really reminded me of a young Partagas D no4, not as complex, but very very good. Now I dont know how the consistency will be, I have yet to go purchase more, but I will soon.
As for the others - the torpedo had a terrible burn, the ash went very deep and actually burned inside the cigar not even on the foot. The Petite coronas were too young, they were fresh from the table and we didnt let them sit, so I wont really rate them since they were still very "pre-mature" and as for the aged Churchill.. terrible, we put it in the ashtray within 5 minutes of lighting it, nothing enjoyable right off the start - no draw at all, and no flavours.
As for the robusto like I said, WONDERFUL! I just hope they are consistent.

I find Corenti's small and mid size cigars are not bad. The Churchill's suck.

I bought two Roustos last time, and I bought two more.
Smoked one when I got home. It was a very young cigar. It was only rolled three days ago. But it was a fantastic smoke. Very nice ash, flavour stayed consistant all the way through.
I smoked it right down to the nub.
I didn't want to let it go. I loved it.

The maduro Robusto is a different story.

I'm letting mine sit for at least a week.
Maybe longer.

I can't believe the attention to detail he gave the caps on these cigars.

Very well constructed.

Awsome. Can't wait to smoke them.
