Hello All - not sure what prompted me to finally join the forums guess it's a boring day ;-) Been a registered user under the same screen name at the main CA site since the '99-'00 time frame but never registered for the forums when they brought them out a couple of years later. Been reading since the early days though. Sure miss those HCF days LOL!

Anyway some background...I started smoking cigars approximately 20 years ago, had my first CC about 15 years ago (HdM Epi2), and have been purchasing CCs exclusively for about the past 10 years. No I'm not looking for any more sources LOL!

General smoking pattern lately has been 1-2 per week. Almost always after dinner at my favorite pub with an English-style porter or stout. I have a desktop humidor that holds 2-3 boxes depending upon length/ring. I keep RH in the 65-67 range.

When I get a new box I will let it acclimate for 1 month then the box is free game and usually finished within a year. The longest any cigar survived in the humi was the last of a box of NOV99 Punch Churchills that I smoked last summer. It was terrific but I'm still not sure it was any better than it was at 6 months. I guess I just like my Habanos on the younger side.

Current smokes in the humi are MAR05 BoliCEs and SEP05 MonteEdmundos. I'm down to my last 3 CEs and I just got the Eds about 1 month ago. I just had my first Ed this past Sat and it was wonderful. Contruction, draw, and burn were absolutely perfect. Very different taste profile than I was expecting. Much smoother and less spicy than a young Monte2. I can't wait to sample a few more of these.

The BoliCEs have been exceptional as well although I had my first truly plugged CC in years from this box. Totally unsalvagable. And I agree with the thread a few lines down: these CEs were powerhouses.

Next box will be Partagas P2s. Haven't had one yet but am looking forward to it based on what I've heard. My favorite CCs are varied and cover a lot of marques/vitolas but are generally toward the medium-full end of the flavor spectrum: Monte 2 & 3 (now Edmundo). Partagas D4 & 898V (trying the P2 soon). Boli RC, CE and BBF. Uppman 2 & Mag46. RASS. Punch Churchill & RS11. Just to name a few.

Anyway just wanted to take a few minutes to say hello and let you guys know that I appreciate the time you take to share you knowledge.

Sounds forced. I bet you're a member of the HCF. Call me crazy.

Welcome anyway. You'll get booted sooner or later if my instincts are right.

I'm sure you will now talk about how you have noticed what a "trouble maker" I am, since you have been reading for so long and are privy to all the things that have happened here.
