Normally I buy something and wait a few years before trying it but a member said I should try things now to see if I want more because they will be gone by the time I get around to these. I bought 2 boxes MOA JUN09 and fired one up today. Great construction and perfect burn but not really the big blast of RyJ I was hoping for. I enjoyed the cigar but I'm getting loads more earth and cherry flavors from a box of PC's I'm smoking. Anybody getting lots of RyJ flavor from these?

I wouldn't worry too much about running out. 07 EL's are still quite plentiful.

These are great cigars now, and will be classics in a 3 to 5 years. I have 3 boxes and sampled one from each box. They kept getting better and better. Highly recommend this cigar. 93 in books.

Cor: Steve, you have proven yourself to be a tremendous whack job.

I enjoyed it. Great construction and such a large ring gage. I did enjoy the Bolivar le '09 better.

A really great smoke at the moment, better now than the Bolivar Petit Belicosos. Like Stevie Cohen said, in a few years they're gonna rock the Casbah.

Well, I think he meant the RyJ PCs, but PLPC is a commonly seen acronym.

Yes I was referring to RyJ Petit Coronas. I'm flying thru a box OEB JUL06 that's just loaded with dark cherry and spice and I guess I wanted the Duke to be its big brother. The price has really come down on the Dukes so I was thinking of getting another 2 boxes but the price of the Trinidad Ingenios is about the same.

But ELs often don't taste like the regular line. If you like RyJ PCs, get more of those. Or the RyJ TPCs, while you can.

I liked the Dukes better than the Boli EL 09 release but not as much as the H Upmann 48 EL release

I did order a box of Ingenios, at $125 I couldn't stop myself. I admit I have almost zero experience with ELs, this was the first one I've tried and I wouldn't judge a cigar after having just one. I kept thinking as I was smoking what brand did it remind me of and it wasn't RyJ. If I had to guess I would have said it was a Monte. Is that what the ELs are, dark rich tobacco with no real brand connection?

The R&J Petit Coronas have been fantastic since at least '08.

I would vote the Trinidad Ingenios over the Dukes, unless you have to have a bigger rg.

cheers
