Love the show and have to look for this episode. If you ever thought about making a few bucks muling on your way back from Mexico, watch this show and you'll change your mind very quickly.

Hmm, I see RyJ is still has his posts held in the CA admin workflow prison for the required 12 days before they release his pontifications. A political prisoner in his own mind.
Cor: Steve, you have proven yourself to be a tremendous whack job.
Yeah some never learn Steve interesting Hetch writes in the same style. I often wonder if hes a stooge, student of the legend ryj. Or merely a nam de plume. Please note i have added smiley faces so the two may comment back and forth about it.

Originally posted by ryj7x47: National Geographic has this series called, "Locked Up Abroad" and this evening the show featured a US Citizen who got locked up in Cuba.
The story was that this woman met some guy who was bad news, held her daughter hostage while he sent her on a drug run that went from Panama to Costa Rica, and to Paris via Cuba. Leaving Cuba for Paris, she intimated that another drug-runner who had Cuban connections turned her in somehow. Customs (Aduana...) pulled her from the line as she departed, and found a stash of cocaine sewn into her bag.
She was given a 15 year sentence, but was released after 6 years. She recounted the dismal conditions in Cuban jails. I can only imagine. I mean, I have seen the condition of the hospitals for the majority of Cuban people, and it is deplorable, with insufficient water supplies for sewage, poor quality food, and not the most comfortable of situations...and that's the hospital! Imagine a prison!
Anyway - it was an interesting and chilling story. Cuba has a ZERO drug policy, although with the rich agricultural land, one would think that a little side crop might surface from time to time.
The irony of this zero tolerance policy is that it was used as a pretext for some particularly nasty occurrences that transpired in the late 1980's with Arnaldo Ochoa and the DeLaGuardia twins... According to Andres Oppenheimer in his book, "Castro's Final Hour" they were all implicated in a cocaine trafficking operation through Cuba of which Castro either explicitly approved or implicitly allowed to occur, until the popularity of Ochoa started to grow.
After his death, "8-A" graffiti began to appear ("OCHO" and "A" for Ochoa).
But I digress. I wonder if this cigar marked "Marlboro" is fake.
RyJ - You were doing fine until the last two sentences. While witty, it is a provocation that left the door open for the girls to pile into the thread and pillow fight with each other. And on cue they took the bait. You need to have a little more discipline.

Unfortunately Hetch, I mean waverly you will have to wait the prerequisite 12 days for RyJ's response.

Is he on parole again? I haven't been on here in several months. I've said it before, he is his own worst enemy.
As for hetch, never met him or RyJ for that matter. I think RyJ knows a lot and makes interesting posts. That's why I occasionally come to his defense. You guys harass him without any sense that he brings a lot to the forum. You can't deny he knows a ton about Cuba. Which is why many of us are here. Most of the other stuff, fakes, sources, etc, can get kind of old. You've got your buddies - Sheepshead, Piece of Work, etc, you have a good time - I get it. But you should ignore RyJ's provocations in my opinion.

This is all just good natured fun. I agree with most of what you say about RyJ. But you have to admit, most of the threads on the CA board take interesting deviations, and no one gets their nose out of joint. Except RyJ. He wants to control the vertical and the horizontal.

I believe that's a fairly good summary of your own self-indulgence and delusion of self-importance that permeates and has permeated not this but other places I have seen your name appear, there, Cohen.
Hetch is a friend from way back, and a stand-up guy at that. But we are not one and the same.
Now - back to substance.

Waverly...it's like pushing around a piece of string - it slithers around in any direction you flick it.

Thanks butch. I missed you. Let me reload and try again.
Steve, I cannot believe that after years of doing the same routine, you are STILL allowed to remain here, staining perfectly legitimate threads with this behavior.

No Steve, it's not good natured fun, and there is no place for it on a respected board. You get away with it who knows how and people try to ignore you, but you just shout louder. You have made this forum a huge pain in the butt for coutless aficionados, and the only reason all the threads take "interesting deviations" is because YOU take them that way, and YOU find yourself interesting. You are a spoiled child.

Geez USCS,
You go and switch your nicotine patches with your wife's estrogen patches again? You are so sensitive today. Nice to see you getting in touch with your feminine side. Have a good cry, stamp your feet, and come back a man please.
I preferred your candid cigar reviews.

Steve contributes much to this forum. What exactly do you contribute besides instigating trouble like right now. Funny all you ryj clowns are just like him. You better watch out. Next you get to drink the kool aid!

waverly1 - with all due respects, the only independent thing on this or any other forum is the server that this forum reside on.
Don't know Steve except for what I read on this forum. From what I read, Steve is a good guy. On occasion his humor is maybe dark or sarcastic but generally harmless. A lot of time he brings some much needed comic relief to a thread that is taken all to seriously.
