As Im running low on my CC stock, (placed an order online waiting for it to arrive), Ive smoked 3 or 4 Fuente Chateau Fuentes the past few days. Although they are superbly constructed, and burn and draw almost flawlessly, they lack complexity and flavour. There are VERY one dimensional, never changing tastes. Its like eating non-fat,sugar free, frozen yogourt, compared to haagen-dasz (sp?) and Ben and Jerrys ice cream.
CC's are so superior its not even funny.
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII have become, comfortably numb.

no matter how good they are, they always tend to be uni-dimensional... you might get an extremely good dimension (hint of something, such as wood, leather, honey, spice, etc...), but that'sll you'll be getting.
the cigar will reach it's potential after a few puffs, and will stay with whatever flavour you're picking up untill the end...
another reason why CA only smokes a third of the cigars when rating them.... what you get in the first inch of the cigar is what you'll get throughout the remainig of the smoke. unlike a cuban's taste profile that can change 2, 3 or even 4 times.

You should tell that to the sponsors of our forum.
After initial year or two of them being published they sold their soul and now are pretending that a number of NC can not only be directly compared to any CC but even be considered superior (sic)!
It is disgusting.

I am as skeptical as you. However, I was gifted recently a 5 Vegas Serie A that was quite spicey and full bodied. Suggest we keep an open mind to these things and you may just be pleasantly surprised.

Spicy and full bodied they may be, but thats all theyll be from the beginning of the smoke to the end. Same boring flavours, one-dimensional.
Ive tried several of the "premium" non cubans, Fuentes, Padrons, etc. Not even close. You can't compare.

I tried the Padron Anni's and I still want CCs. In fact, I have proven to myself that FREE Padron ANN. do not taste better to me than abox of CCs I paid for. I love the Padrons, they are good people, ans I stated about the Fuente's, great Americans, great tobacco men. But a great tasting cigar that never develops any diversity of flavor is no joy to smoke, it's called boring. I was sent two boxes of my choice of Anniversarios for doing some TV production for Orlando P. for RTDA, jeez, must have been 2002 or 3, and I was gushing over the phone, I was so pleased to do something nice for the guys who had created my favorite brand of cigars, would have done it for free, but they offered, and I loved the Anniversary. So I got Exclusivos and another vitola. But I had been smoking havanas for awhile by then and I smoked a few and just gave the rest away for space. It's JUST NOT IN THERE. Ask em, they'll tell you they would blend in cuban tobacco in a heartbeat if they could do it and not lose their company to OFAC. I do not wish to make fun of Padrons, they are GREAT cigars, but they are not flavorful enough for me anymre.

Same old topic, same old answers. Why not just comment on the thread that is like 5 or 6 down than start your own. This was not even a question, but a statement.
