Sat sown today and picked out a Choix Supreme thats been sitting in the humidor from last summer. A wonderful, lighter smoke.
I toasted the foot of the cigar nice and slow, giving it a nice, slow, even burn all around. Started off with a nice light aroma of cedar/dried flower. I sat back to enjoy this little supreme.
The draw was just a little too tight, although comfortable. The first 3rd of the cigar was mostly cedary, floral flavours, with a good amount of creamy smoke. Burned nice and even, with a bright white ash that held on effortlessly. The second third of the cigar we started getting some cuban twangy tobacco flavours into the mix, and the draw seemed to be a little easier. I had to retouch one of the sides with the lighter as it was lagging behing just a bit.
The final third was beautiful. The cedar, floral, almost citrusy flavours intensified and the draw was perfect. The smoke coming out was very creamy. Smoke this one down to the nub. A good hour spent.
I usually enjoy the bolder, coffee, cocoa bean, rich cigars such as Bolivars and Partagas but this one was very nice in its own way.
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII have become, comfortably numb.
