Went to Vegas for the Pacquiao Hatton Fight, the fight itself was very good, even do it lasted 4 minutes and I thought the real fight was going to be outside the ring with a lot of pissed off English Men, but things calmed down after the KO.

So after that I went on an Habanos night, had dinner at Prime in the Bellagio, nothing wow, not bad but not worth the price, latter we hit a club (im to old for clubs) went back to the bar, had an Hoyo de Monterrey EL 2001 Particulares.

All these have a tight draw, the taste is very good good, but the draw makes it difficult, still enjoyed this habanos and it lasted for at least 3 hours of talking and drinking.

Next day, I relaxed at the pool, smoked a Montecristo Serie D EL 2005, a very good habanos, great draw, great taste, smoked perfect all the way, very creamy chocolate taste with a lot of espresso. Overall great Habano.

At night we went to Wing Lei, for the Chili Crab, WOW Best Crab outside of Singapore, great meal, expensive but worth it, latter we went to have drink a the Bar at the Wynn and smoke a Montecristo EL 2008 Sublime.

Now the past one I had I was very disappointing, and well this one was no better, the draw is lose and it fells under filled, I had a hard time keeping it lit, and it burned uneven the whole time, if I did not puff every 2 minutes, it went out.

I hope I just got a bad box, but I was not impressed at all, and it was quite frustrating having to babysit this habanos so it would not go out. At the end I left half since I got frustrated.

Still had a great weekend, and relaxed and enjoyed myself.

I've had three so far.
The first was was outstanding but the other 2 were lousy tasting, and underfilled. I won't be having another for at least a year.

Sounds just like everyone i have smoked so far.
It seems they are all bad boxes IMHO!
Glad you enjoyed everything else.
Thanks for the reviews Roberto.

Hola Roberto, saludos desde monterrey...
Great review, sounds like you had great time.
I’m going to Las Vegas next week (Going with the family to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday) and I was wondering if it's still possible to smoke cigars while playing in the casinos or just in some of the bars. Haven’t been there in a couple of years and I’m not sure about this. Also, which bar would you (and everybody!) recommend to have a nice cigar after dinner?

Salud!

Recently had an MC D and C on back to back days; preferred the D but enjoyed both. Both were quite smooth but I seem to recall the D having a bit more spice, and well, flavor.

Mi estimado amigo,

You can still smoke in Casino and at Bar's, but you can't smoke inside any restaurants, I would recomend the Piano Bar at the Bellagio or the Bar at the Wynn.

Last time they let me smoke outside the SW Steakhouse at the Wynn, also had a great Steak.

If you bring your own cigars, just remember to have them in a zip lock bag, since they will dry out in minutes.

Hi Roberto,

Is there a good place you recommend for Chili crab in Singapore? Just along the Quays, or somewhere special you know of?

Thinking about visiting Jimmy, but I'm afraid I won't know what to say as I'm just a novice cigar smoker.. : (
Hope he'll be willing to teach me something..and perhaps offer me something rare!..(...Behike?... ; )

By the photos on Flying Cigar, I would tell you that Jimmy would be the one to ask, he looks like he loves his Habanos, his Single Malt Scotch and his Fine Food. Singapore Style Chili Crab is something every seafood lover should eat.

Try No Signboard Seafood located at The Esplanade. That's the most convenient (around town area) for a tourist. Others are slightly way off. Don't forget to try the white or black pepper crab as well which is their signature dishes.

For cigars, you can also visit the official LCDH in Singapore run by Pacific Cigar Company, http://www.connoisseurdivan.com/main.htm. They have a wide range of cubans if that's what you want. There's a large smoking area right outside the shop. Smoking is generally not permitted in air-con places in Singapore

Hi Guys!
Now... where in the hell you can find a legit habano in Monterrey? seems to be a impossible mision. The store at the airport is a joke. Maybe the Palacio de Hierro or a Sanborns??

Hey Xavier,
Sorry I did not see your post before.
Yes you can buy habanos in my beautiful city. The store boknows mentioned is a LCDH, the former name is Barcena Cigar House, and recently they changed it to LCDH, same owner. They have a nice selection and the address is correct, is near the “centrito de la colonia del valle” in Rio Colorado.
Prices compare to LCDH in Polanco, a little more expensive. Sanbors is another option but is way to expensive.
Send me an email if you like.

Salud!
