First off, I wanted to thank everyone that was kind enough to email me regarding the sources I had questions about. You were all a big help.
I received part my first order today. A box each of Monte Petite Edmundo, PSD #4, and a box of RASS.
Which leads me to my question. I was asked if I minded if they were inspected. I am of the opinion that they should be inspected to help reduce the chance of problems. They inspected two of the three boxes. The RASS was still sealed though. I opened it and to my horror, there were what I beleive to be mold on the cigars. The question is, "Should I send these back?"
The details...The cigars do look like they have the beginning stages of plume on them. But I do have on 6 or 7 cigars some fuzzy white patches. I have searched the forum, and many have said that white mold can simply be wiped off, stored at a lowered humidity, and seperated for a time. Should I simply take this approach or should I send them back? I hate to go through the hastle of shipping them back if they are for the most part okay. Just looking for some opinions on the matter. Here are some pictures as well. Thanks.
Oh..I forgot, there was one green spot on one cigar. It is not fuzzy though, it looks like a discoloration on the wrapper, could this be green mold? Again...see the pics.

The green spot is a water spot. The white may be white mold or a little bloom.
Either way, you can wipe it off if you are uncertain.
If you still have a problem, do not return them to the shop, I have a biohazard company that picks up from my office every month and I will be happy to have them destroyed safely for you.

Hello creech, I'd also like to make a similar purchase. I found this website and have questions about it's authenticity. If possible I'd appreciate your or anyone's help. Thanks
That's definitely mold, although if none of the cigars looks any worse than that you should easily be able to wipe it off with a soft cloth. Inspect and wipe all of the cigars and also wipe out the inside of the box thoroughly- perhaps even vacuum the inside of the box with a small attachment. I would notify the vendor, but this seems to be at a very early stage and not a concern. Propose keeping the box and receiving a 10% discount on your next purchase if you intend to use them again. If you have a cabinet style of humidor, quarantine that box inside the humidor in its own plastic bag and watch it for a few weeks.
Yea, it's mold but not enough to even consider returning them when you are just establishing your vendor relationship. I agree with donkost, let him know about the problem so he can inspect the remainder of his stock but offer to keep the cigars and maybe get a little sumthin off your next purchase. It'll pay off down the road.
As for the smokes, like errone else said, wipe it off and spark.

Thanks for the advice guys. That was what I kind of figured, but it never hurts to get a second opinion.
Doc-Thanks for the offer to dispose of them properly, but it turns out that we have a disposal company right here upstate. It turns out that they are specially equipped to handle those Opus super belicosos that you smoke every Sat. So if you ever need to get rid of any of them, you know who to call.
el fumador-I'm really not the right guy to ask about sources. I'm just a noob when it comes to CCs. I suggest you try asking some of the more senior members of the forum for help. A lot of nice guys emailed me when I asked for help. But just to warn you, a lot of people may be hesitant to help since you are still new to the forum. You might want to hang around for a while, get some posts in, and then ask. I waited over a year before I even dared asked. Sources are a touchy subject around here.
