I am quite concerned about your allowing a posting using the word "ch!nk" but I triggered a review because I used the word "n!gg@r" as an example of words that are derogatory to many people. I realize that we are living in an ultra PC environment. The word Squaw has been co-opted by some activist Native Americans / Canadians to be a rude comment about a Native women's vagina. Which is not true...but I have a resort here on a First Nations reserve that has changed 'Squaw Point' to 'Good Birds Point'
That said, I believe the word "ch!nk" should also be a trigger for a review....I cannot believe that CA would allow a comment "....otherwise we would have a ch!nk in the Oval Office...."
I did not project any racism in my comments, just used the words to illustrate my point that we have gotten to the point where certain words are so hurtful and racist that we instantly lash out....I wasn't tryiing to do that but rather point out that we cannot be afraid to use a word in comment on certain topics in fear of being labeled a racist.
I would like to see or receive a copy of CA's online posting rules, trigger words, etc... if it's online, I have not seen it. Perhaps it should be. I will look for it, but I await your reply and comments from the users.
I do not remember exactly what I said, but I did remember late last night that I had posted something similar. After I posted, I did a bit more exploring and found the triangle. I do not do a lot of board work. Just a bit here and at RC, so I do not know a lot about the in's and out's, the procedures, the decorum, etc.
I do know that THIS is shouting LOL...but other than that, I know enough to get around. I also knew that I would probably bypass the filters on the triggers with the ! etc.
I just find it incredulous that certain racist remarks invite the onslaught of Biblical proportions but others get nothing.....
I am not whining, perhaps I do not frequent enough to get what is going on. I chime in from time to time about most things Cuban, generally just about cigars and such...I have been smoking for years and have worked in the industry, I have a decent stock and I read a ton, so I like to pass on my little knowledge and read from some of the older, wiser, more experienced posters and laugh at some of the silliness.

I mean I know one guy personally from all this stuff. And he doesn't even frequent the boards anymore....Perhaps I need to get to a Big Smoke....meet some other cigar lovers....so people can feel a bit more comfortable with me......
