Should be placing an order tommorow, hopefully. So far my online shopping basket includes:

- Cohiba Siglo II tubos x2
- San Cristobal El Principe x5
- Bolivar tubos no.2 x1
- Montecristo no.4 x3
- Partags Petit Corona especiale x1
- Romeo Y Julieta Short churchill x1
- Bolivar Bonita x1

Just a varied selection to keep me going for abit. Was going to buy a few more but a friend on my is in Cuba and I've asked him to pick me up a couple of monte no.2's or something similar. So, anyone think i should make any subs on this list? I'm debating whether to swap out the Romeo Short Churchill for a Hoyo petit robusto..

p.s. Shout out to cigdogg for his help Smile

I see you're petite corona lover, huh? Even your only doubt is about the single robusto in the list...

Good selection. For your question - I can't remember if I ever smoked HdM petite robusto, nor do I have a record of it. But RyJ Short Churchill is an awesome smoke. Woody, some spice, leather, occasional floral overtones.

Don't give up the RyJ Short Churchill
your gonna wish you ordered more. On my last trip to Cuba I think that was the best smoke I had all week maybe because it was my last one on Cuban soil. I finished it just before I got on the plane in the departure lounge, heck I think I was the last one on the plane because of it
Enjoy

Good stuff TT. Personally I would have gone for the HdM PR ahead of the short churchill, I just love the petit robusto. Those El Principes are damn fine smokes as you know.

On a different note is this your first time with this retailer? If so- I have had a couple of customs problems coming into the UK from a particular swiss site. Give an e-mail if you want a heads up.

Cusccrstud21, those el principes are fantastic, i love their smoothness. I'll probably pick up more of the ones i like best too, this is just a tester. did64, i was so close to buying Hdm PR instead of the short churchill... ah well, next time + EMS.

Really? I didn't figure they would go much lower than they are right now. Are they typically discounted further periodically?

Tom,

Your selection looks very interesting. Just a tip, I'd highly recommend getting at least two of each cigar you order. That way if one of them is off, you'll have a second to judge.

Yeah last time they had is it was even more off at first, then about 2-3 weeks in they dropped another good percentage off additionally.

Well, then looks like I might be spending a little more money in the near future (hopefully anyway).

The trade off is they may not have the most popular sticks by then like the Hoyo ELs, Don Alejandros, etc.

Yeah, I kind of assumed that would be the case, but I also figure that since my current collection of Habanos and experience smoking those few that I have had being so extremely limited, I should probably try more of them before I break into the EL world. However, if I get lucky and they do get cheaper and there are any ELs left, then I'll probably have to jump on them. As it is, I actually (unfortunately) put a small order in just before the got price reduced.

Very good advice, and usually I stick to this. However I didn't have a huge amount of money to spend this time and wanted to stock a wider selection in my humidor, if one of the sticks is bad I'm sure I'll give it another go. Question about these guys - how often do they re-stock on limited editions?

SC el principe is a great tasty little perla, one of my favourites. I generally prefer the party shorts in those sizes, but the principe is my alternative for a lighter smoke

nice order chief

"Cuban seed tobaccos grown in Nicaragua and Cuba. The wrapper would be from Cuba. The binder leaves would be from Nicaragua. For the ligero tobacco in the filler, he would use two types, one from Esteli and the other from Jalapa in Nicaragua. The other filler components, seco and viso, would come from Cuba, the former from Villa Clara, the latter from Pinar del Rio. That Cigar, he says with pride, would score 100 points."
