Has anybody figured out the new box codes yet. I'm looking to buy a box of Partagas D4s and I'm seeing box codes of:
PUT JUN 06, BGE JUN 06, TBS JUN 06, ROA JUL 06
The date codes I'm fine with, but the factory codes? Are they even factory codes any more? If so why would they make the same cigar in 3 different factories in one month and a different one again the next month. They must be very regularly changing codes for factories or something. Shouts of 'FAKE' may come but it is a reputable dealer. Thanks for any info.

The factory codes change so often now it's impossible to keep up. And there's really no need to keep up as the quality from factory to factory these days is pretty much the same across the board. If you trust the vendor, just have them send whatever box they recommend since they're in a position to be able to inspect the cigars. Whether they actually will or not might be another story, but there's nothing wrong with asking.
